Abstract

This work investigates the collaborative relations between Digital Watermarking and Federated Learning.  Digital watermarking has the major part in data integrity and content rights enforcement. As another option, as part of the effort to ensure privacy, federated learning put forth by Google in 2016, deals with the difficulties of the data being distributed, which makes it an effective strategy in diverse fields. Accordingly, this paper explores how to put those techniques together such that they complete each other. It considers the federated learning’s possible utilization in an effort to refine the performance of the watermarking algorithm. Moreover, this work emphasizes the watermarking role in improving federated learning for securing intellectual rights, by means of reviewing existing strategies.
